- Ondo Finance gains FINRA approval to expand regulated tokenized securities access in the U.S.
- The move enables blockchain-based trading of stocks and funds.
Ondo Finance has reached a major regulatory milestone as its subsidiary, Oasis Pro Markets, secured new FINRA authorizations to expand tokenized securities offerings in the United States.
The approval strengthens Ondo’s position in the growing tokenized securities market by allowing it to provide regulated access to blockchain-based versions of traditional financial assets.
Ondo Finance Moves Closer to Regulated Tokenized Markets
With the new FINRA clearances, Oasis Pro Markets can offer tokenized corporate equities and funds under SEC and FINRA oversight. The approval allows Ondo to support a wider range of financial products, including stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, index funds, and IPO securities in tokenized form.
Investors will be able to access these assets through regulated channels, with settlement options available in fiat currencies and supported stablecoins. The platform will also support blockchain-based transfers, including direct wallet-to-wallet transactions.
The move marks a significant step toward connecting traditional financial markets with blockchain technology while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Oasis Pro Acquisition Expands Ondo’s Infrastructure
Ondo Finance strengthened its regulatory foundation through its acquisition of Oasis Pro, which brought several important licenses and capabilities into its ecosystem.
Oasis Pro operates as an SEC-registered broker-dealer, an SEC-regulated alternative trading system, and an SEC-registered transfer agent. These features allow Ondo to manage important functions such as on-chain shareholder records, ownership rights, and digital asset collateral movement.
The infrastructure gives Ondo the ability to build a regulated system for issuing, trading, and managing tokenized securities.
Institutional and Retail Access Could Expand
The latest authorizations also allow Ondo’s platform to connect with existing broker-dealers and advisory firms through omnibus account structures.
This means institutional investors, registered investment advisers (RIAs), and retirement accounts may access tokenized securities without changing their current investment relationships or onboarding processes.
Ondo believes this approach could reduce barriers for U.S. investors and open access to tokenized markets for a broader audience.
Ondo Finance Strengthens Its Role in Blockchain-Based Finance
The approval comes as demand for tokenized real-world assets continues to grow. Tokenization allows traditional financial products to be represented on blockchain networks, offering faster settlement, improved transparency, and greater accessibility.
For Ondo Finance, regulatory approval provides a competitive advantage as financial institutions look for compliant ways to enter the digital asset sector.
However, the company still faces challenges, including changing regulations, technology risks, and the pace of market adoption.
With FINRA authorization in place, Ondo Finance is positioning itself as a key player in bringing regulated tokenized securities to the U.S. market. The development could accelerate the adoption of blockchain-based financial products among both institutional and retail investors.
