- Pi Network launched SoloHost, Pi Sign-in, and PiVerify during Pi2Day 2026 to expand AI, computing, and identity services beyond its ecosystem.
- These updates aim to increase Pi’s real-world utility while attracting developers, businesses, and new users.
Pi Network marked Pi2Day 2026 by introducing a series of new products designed to enhance the utility of its ecosystem and extend its services to developers, businesses, and users beyond its platform. The latest updates focus on artificial intelligence (AI), distributed computing, identity verification, and easier access to Pi-powered applications, positioning the network for broader real-world adoption.
Pi Network Introduces SoloHost for AI and Distributed Computing
One of the biggest announcements is the launch of SoloHost, an open framework available through Pi Desktop. The new platform allows developers to build and publish self-hosted applications that users can run directly from their own computers.
Unlike traditional cloud-based services, SoloHost enables users to keep applications and data on their local devices. This approach offers greater privacy while reducing reliance on third-party servers. Users can also access supported applications through Pi Browser on their mobile devices, making locally hosted apps more convenient to use.
Pi also introduced Hermes, an open-source AI assistant that operates entirely on a user’s computer. The company said Hermes demonstrates how AI tools can deliver useful services while allowing users to retain full control of their personal data.
The update also lays the foundation for distributed computing. It will allow Node operators to contribute unused computing power to AI-related tasks and receive Pi payments from third-party clients.
Pi Sign-in Brings Pi Accounts to Third-Party Apps
Pi Network also launched Pi Sign-in, a feature that allows users to access supported third-party websites and applications using their existing Pi accounts.
Instead of creating separate usernames and passwords, users can authenticate through their Pi credentials after granting permission. The feature is expected to simplify account access while helping developers connect with Pi’s large user community.
According to Pi Network, Pi Sign-in will also make it easier for locally hosted AI applications to communicate securely across a user’s desktop and mobile devices without exposing sensitive information.
PiVerify Expands Pi’s Identity Verification Services
Another major release is PiVerify, a verification service that allows businesses and external platforms to use Pi Network’s Know Your Customer (KYC) infrastructure.
The platform helps companies verify real users, reduce fake accounts, detect duplicate identities, and support regulatory compliance. Pi noted that its hybrid AI and human verification system has already verified more than 18 million users across over 200 countries and regions.
Businesses that use PiVerify will pay for the service in Pi, creating another real-world use case for the cryptocurrency while expanding its utility beyond the Pi ecosystem.
Pi2Day Ecosystem Quest Rewards Community Participation
Alongside the product launches, Pi Network introduced the Pi2Day 2026 Ecosystem Quest. The event encourages users to explore the new features, complete quizzes, and test ecosystem applications.
Participants who finish the activities before July 13 will receive a special in-app badge that can be displayed on their Pi profiles.
Pi Network Eyes Greater Real-World Utility
The Pi2Day 2026 announcements highlight Pi Network’s strategy of expanding beyond cryptocurrency payments by focusing on AI, computing infrastructure, and digital identity.
With SoloHost, Pi Sign-in, and PiVerify, the project aims to provide practical services for developers, businesses, and everyday users while strengthening the value of its ecosystem. Pi believes these tools will encourage greater participation from Node operators, developers, merchants, and third-party platforms as the network continues to grow.
