- Tether powers Rumble Wallet, letting users tip creators directly using crypto.
- This move expands stablecoins into everyday content payments.
Rumble, in partnership with Tether, has unveiled a new built-in crypto wallet designed to transform how creators are paid. The Rumble Wallet allows viewers to tip creators directly using Bitcoin, USDT, and Tether Gold (XAUT), bypassing traditional banks and payment processors. By embedding crypto payments into the platform, Rumble and Tether give creators more control over their earnings while bringing everyday users closer to digital assets.
How the Wallet Works for Users and Creators
The wallet functions as a native payment layer inside Rumble, enabling viewers to send tips directly to creators. On- and off-ramps are handled by MoonPay, allowing users to seamlessly convert between crypto and traditional payment methods like credit cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, and Venmo. Creators can decide whether to hold earnings on-chain or convert them into fiat currency.
Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski emphasized that the wallet strengthens creator-audience relationships by linking funding directly to engagement rather than advertising. This approach empowers both creators and users to interact and financially support content more efficiently.
Tether Expands Beyond Trading
For Tether, the launch extends the use of USDT and other stablecoins into consumer-facing platforms. Traditionally focused on trading and DeFi, Tether now aims to integrate crypto into everyday activities like tipping and microtransactions. CEO Paolo Ardoino highlighted that the wallet demonstrates how Tether’s Wallet Development Kit can simplify crypto adoption for large platforms without requiring them to build custody infrastructure.
By embedding recurring microtransactions directly into content consumption, Tether positions stablecoins as a practical payment tool rather than just trading instruments.
Rumble’s Broader Vision
Backed by Tether’s $775 million strategic investment, Rumble is building independent infrastructure across content, payments, and cloud services. The wallet launch aligns with this strategy by giving creators more autonomy and reducing reliance on ad-driven revenue models.
What’s Next for Creator Payments?
The launch tests whether crypto tipping can scale while keeping users comfortable with familiar payment methods. If adoption grows, other platforms may reconsider how creators are paid and who controls payment rails. Rumble Wallet could set a new standard for creator monetization in a digital-first world.
