- XRP is seeing strong accumulation from whales and rising institutional ETF inflows, tightening supply during a consolidation phase.
- If price holds above key resistance near $1.45, it could trigger a move toward $1.60 and possibly $2.
XRP is showing strong bullish signals as large investors and institutions continue to accumulate during a period of consolidation. Buying pressure from whales and growing ETF inflows are tightening supply and keeping the market in a strong position.
This combination has placed XRP in one of its most closely watched setups of 2026.
Whale accumulation reaches a 10-month high
On-chain data shows aggressive accumulation from large holders. Whales are buying an estimated 11 million XRP per day, with total recent purchases valued at roughly 500 million dollars.
At the same time, exchange reserves, especially on Binance, have dropped to multi-year lows. This reduction in available supply means fewer tokens are ready for sale, which often supports price stability or upward pressure.
Whale flow on the 30-day moving average has also reached its highest level since mid-2025. Historically, this type of accumulation during consolidation phases has often preceded strong price moves.
Institutional demand through ETFs continues to grow
Institutional interest is also strengthening. U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded their strongest month yet in April 2026, with net inflows estimated between 81 million and 83 million dollars.
One of the strongest weekly performances saw around 55 million dollars in inflows. Total cumulative ETF inflows now exceed 1.29 billion dollars, with assets under management ranging between 1.05 billion and 2.6 billion dollars.
Major financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, already hold exposure, but analysts believe there is still significant room for further institutional adoption.
XRP price remains in a tight consolidation range
XRP is currently trading between 1.38 and 1.45 dollars, holding steady near key support around 1.40 dollars. Despite broader market uncertainty, the price has remained stable.
If XRP manages to stay above the 1.45 to 1.50 dollar range, it could trigger renewed bullish momentum. In that scenario, price targets near 1.60 dollars come into focus, with a stronger breakout potentially opening the path toward 2 dollars.
Key support remains at 1.35 to 1.38 dollars, a level bulls need to defend to maintain the current structure.
Catalysts supporting XRP in 2026
Several long-term drivers continue to build confidence in XRP’s outlook. Ripple’s expanding partnerships, including integration efforts in Japan through Rakuten, are broadening real-world usage. Growth in RLUSD, Ripple’s stablecoin ecosystem, and ongoing regulatory progress through initiatives like the CLARITY Act are also improving sentiment.
In addition, a potential shift of capital from Bitcoin into altcoins could further support XRP if market conditions turn favorable.
Risks remain in the market
Despite strong accumulation trends, risks are still present. Profit-taking from whales, ETF outflows, or broader macroeconomic pressure could temporarily slow price growth.
These factors may create short-term volatility even within a bullish structure.
XRP remains well below its 2025 high of around 3.65 dollars, but current accumulation trends suggest stronger hands are positioning early. With both whale demand and institutional inflows increasing, the market is tightening. Traders are now closely watching the 1.45 dollar resistance level as the next key trigger zone.
A confirmed breakout above it could determine whether XRP begins its next major upward move toward the 2 dollar level.
